What if I receive a cancellation request from a renter?

If you receive a cancellation request from your renter, you will be contacted by email by the cancellation service.

You will have 48 hours to confirm the reason and provide us with any additional information to ensure that the request is properly managed.

If the renter cancels without a valid reason, the following penalties may be applied:
- If they cancel more than 2 weeks before the rental, you can receive 50% of the rental, minus the SamBoat service charge.
- If they cancel less than 2 weeks before the rental, you can receive 100% of the rental amount, minus the SamBoat service charge.

It is important to reply to the message in order to confirm whether you wish to apply or waive the penalties.

If you do not reply within this time limit, SamBoat will reserve the right to determine the outcome of your renter's request and no claims will be possible.

You can also find an amicable agreement with the renter by changing the rental dates, directly on your SamBoat space.

Only a special weather report for the duration of the rental period from the port of departure allows the renter to cancel his reservation without charge.
